I just went vegetarian a few months ago from hanging around vegans/ vegetarians/ animal rights activists...even though I'm not around them much anymore, I still am.
thats exactly how it is for me too.
when i first went vegetarian, I mostly did it to see if I could. you know, test my self control? but, it was the easiest thing I've ever done, so it wasn't really a good test.
its been four months now, and its still easy going.

Yeah, I've only been one for about half a year, but it takes no real effort =]
I didn't do it to test myself though. Didn't even think of that actually haha. Glad its working for you.
I'm a vegan.
For the most part.
It's kind of hard, though, because my stepdad isn't very supportive of it.
He went to like, "meat classes" or something, because he's a food salesman. And he says that the animals are killed in the most humane way possible.
But um, they're not. He just doesn't really seem to know the meaning of humane, I guess.
So yeah... normally I'm a vegan, but I'm forced into eating non-vegan stuff sometimes. (sad)
I found vegan easier than vegetarian, at least from a health perspective, because veggie dishes always seemed to overcompensate with cheeses and cream sauces, etc., but remove all that, it tends to get healthier...

Its hard for me though, because sooo much food has some type of animal product in it and its really hard to avoid. I also forget to think about where stuff comes from, like butter. So I eat butter and than i realize that it comes from a cow.
Vegetarian since I was two, vegan for a little over a year now.. Mostly. Sometimes I make exceptions for chocolates or birthday cake depending on my mood. Generally, the more crummy I'm feeling the more likely I am to eat something non-vegan. XD; Because non-vegan cake and stuff is a lot easier to get a hold of than the vegan stuff. But I'm vegan more for health reasons than anything else, so I figure once in a while isn't going to do me much bad. ^^
Nah, I just occationaly have like, something that has butter in it... It just bothers me when people are all, "Oh, I'm vegetarian" and then go off and eat fish.

I'm vegetarian, but mostly vegan. Still, I don't like to say I'm vegan because it wouldn't totally be true.

Eh...
Vegan isn't about perfection... unless, you know, you're having hamburgers every so often. :-)

Vegetarian for....a little over 3 years now.
I dabble occasionally in vegan stuff, but I don't think I'll make the switch for a few years yet.
